On a recent collaboration between The British Museum and the Hampshire County Council Museum Services, the Willis Museum in Basingstoke was chosen as the opening venue for 'China: A journey to the East'. The exhibition highlights five main themes: language and writing, technology and inventions, food and drink, festivals and beliefs and play and leisure.
BigStuff was asked by the museum services team to bring there concept to life using various substrates including large murals, parchment hanging banners, Bamboo banner stands and more. All done on a tight timescale to fit between the refurbishment of the gallery and the artifacts arriving from the British Museum.
