B&Q
Chandlers Ford, Hampshire
B&Q held a special week-long festival for staff at its headquarters and needed a central location for the events, which included training sessions, motivational speeches and a visit from the Prime Minister, David Cameron.
The B&Q team created a giant wooden structure in the centre of the building and then we helped them decorate it.
At the end of each day, they’d send us graphics showing what had happened in the festival in the last 24 hours and we’d turn it into things they could put up and share. Then – for four hours from midnight, like the shoemaker’s elves – we’d install them around the wooden structure and about the building, sometimes using a cherry picker.
Over the week, the graphics gradually covered the house, leaving it ready to be the centrepiece for the grand finale street party, where street artists and buskers kept everyone entertained and happy at the end of an exciting week.
After various planning and site meetings, surveys of the site, health and safety reviews, research and sampling materials and mock ups, we created removable wallpaper, hanging banners, standees, vinyl declass, floor talkers, window graphics and fire rated graphic tiles and installed everything on site.
