But what are those expectations? They could be different for everyone so we’ve jotted down what we feel you should expect from us.

What to expect at the order stage
Order confirmation
Your order will be checked and processed as soon as we get it. But if this is a weekend or it’s a bank holiday (or in the middle of the night) and we’re not in the office, things could take longer and we’ll do it as soon as we can. We’ll check all your order details and contact you about payment if necessary. By placing an order with us we take it that you have read our terms and conditions and are happy to accept them.
Order payment
We won’t sent your order until payments been made or we’ve agreed credit terms with you.
And these are some of the ways you can pay:
- Debit and credit card accepted include: Visa and Mastercard
- BACS/bank transfer: Please call 0845 225 4332 or email info@bigstuff.org.uk for bank details
- We accept prepayment by cheque against a proforma invoice
- 30 day accounts may be opened for regular customers and to set one up we’ll need two references from your current suppliers.

All of our prices exclude VAT and delivery.
Customer details and privacy
We promise not to send your details on to anyone else. But we might send you updates every now and then to tell you our news and about our new products and ideas. If you really don’t want this service email us at: info@bigstuff.org.uk with the subject line: ‘DELETE ME’ and we’ll take you off our mailing list.

Security
We won’t allow anyone outside BigStuff to access to your information at any time.
All credit card information is mechanically destroyed after it’s used.
Accounts
We’re happy to set up 30 day payment accounts for regular clients. But we’ll need to see at least two credit references from suppliers who say you’re good payers before we open the account. To set up an account email us: info@bigstuff.org.uk or call us on 0845 225 4332.
What to expect at the delivery stage
Delivery
We don’t like to hang around here. We aim to send all orders out within 48 hours of them being received (allowing for weekends and bank holidays). But this does depend on the size of the order, the complexity, if all the materials are available and what else we have already booked in.
But we will give you an expected turnaround time when you place your order. And if there’s a deadline we will do everything we possibly can to meet it.
But if think there might be a problem we’re be right upfront about it, giving you the chance to think about things and even go somewhere else. And if a problem comes up while we’re printing or preparing the job, we’ll let you know straight away, if there’s any chance it will affect the turnaround time.
Unless you pick up the products from our workshop or office we’ll send them using a delivery company. And although we choose them very carefully (and change to a new supplier if they’re not up to scratch), once the product leaves our door, we are at their mercy and cannot control what they do…although we do track and check and hassle if we need to.
We’re pleased however, that we’ve rarely had a problem.
Working days
We work Monday to Friday unless we’ve made a special arrangement. These are also the days we normally deliver or arrangement deliveries.
Special delivery can be arranged (for before 10.30am on Saturday or with a dedicated courier) but these aren’t standard and could cost more.
Delivery areas
Our delivery service is available throughout the UK and Northern Ireland. Delivery times vary depending where you are. We try to deliver within 48 hours of you placing the order…unless it covers a weekend, bank holidays or we can’t do it for another reason, like we’re already fully booked or we need to bring in new materials. But if this going to happen, we’ll tell you this when you order.
Delivery expectations
To be sure your new product gets to the right person we expect someone to sign for the delivery. If no one’s there, the delivery service will leave a ‘while you were out’ card and tell you when they came and tried to deliver your BigStuff.
The card will have a local contact number for you to call to rearrange.
We have no control over when this can be done.
Delivery Address
To make sure your BigStuff gets delivered to the right place, we need a full address which can give us pinpoint accuracy.
We need:
- The formal name of the person who needs the BigStuff (and their position in the company)
- An office or unit number
- Street name
- Village, town or city
- County
- Postcode
We also need a contact telephone number.
If we don’t have all this information, we can’t be sure it will reach you and we can’t take responsibility for it if it doesn’t.
What to do with returns and how to make a complaint
Damaged goods
Every piece of BigStuff is in tiptop condition when it leaves here. But sometimes (although not often) it can be damaged in transit. If your BigStuff is obviously damaged while it’s travelling (especially if you can see it’s crushed), please don’t accept the parcel and sign it for it as ‘damaged, unchecked’ or ‘damaged unexamined’.
And then call us straight away on 0845 225 4332 and we’ll do our best to sort it out.
We always take photos of all BigStuff before it leaves the workshop so we can prove it was in great condition before it left.
If you use BigStuff and bend or break it or install it in the wrong way, you don’t qualify for a new one. But do get it in touch if you do something not quite right, and we’ll try to help to sort it out.
Our complaints procedures
We’re very proud to say that we get very few complaints. But we know – no matter how hard you try – every now and then, something can go wrong.
If you have a complaint we will deal with it quickly and fairly.
If you aren’t happy with the service you’ve had please send us:
- Your company name and the person who ordered the BigStuff
- Your order number
- The delivery date
- And a short outline of the problem.
We will contact you straight away with all the info we have from our side so we can talk it through and sort things out.
